Dr. Gordon A. Price
Dr. Price entered private practice in Scituate in 1972 after graduating from The New England College of Optometry with high honors and spending two years at the U.S. Army Hospital, Fort Ord, CA as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. Dr. Price has subsequently taken post-graduate courses in diagnostic and therapeutic ocular disease treatment. He served as President of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the New England College of Optometry Alumni Association and was named "Optometrist of the Year" in 1998 by both organizations.
Dr. Price served on numerous committees of the American Optometric Association and lectured frequently to optometric groups across the country. He has served as President of the Scituate Chamber of Commerce and currently is on the board of the Scituate Council on Aging.
Dr. Price currently practices Primary Care Optometry, which includes Visual Examinations, Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Disease, Fitting Contact Lenses and Prescribing Glasses; he has a special interest and training in the Evaluation and Co-Management of Laser Vision Correction and has had Laser Vision Correction in 1995.
Dr. Price was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to serve on the Board of Registration in Optometry in 2010.
